HMS St Vincent Tree Re-dedication
We are now able to confirm the date for the re-dedication service at the National Memorial and Arboretum for our tree and new crest .
The Service be held at 1300 on Saturday 23rd. August 2008.
Our standard bearer and bugler will be in attendance and I hope many of you. 
Dress will be blazers and medals. Can I ask you to inform me via e-mail or letter if you and your guests (numbers) wish to attend. 
Thank you ladies and gentlemen, I look forward to hearing from you in due course.

Happy Days Speed Sailor Down Memory Lane
As they stood in the winter sunshine chatting about old times, a group of former navy recruits could not believe half a century had passed.

Armed Forces Pension Group
Statement of Intent

Our aim is to secure pensions, or compensation in lieu, for former regular members of the armed forces who served for fewer than 22 years at any time from 1949 to April 1975 and who were discharged before 5th April 1975.  We ask Her Majesty's Government for pension rights, or compensation, based on years of service and related, pro rata, to pensions received by those who completed 22 years of Service.

Membership
Membership of the Armed Forces Pension Group is open to all ex-servicemen and women who served for three years or more, but less than 22 years, and were discharged prior to 5th April 1975. Poppy Appeal 
You will be pleased to know that we raised over £325 for the Poppy Appeal for selling those little enamel Poppy pins.
Thank you to all who contributed for this worthwhile cause.
For you Scottish veterans, there is now a Scottish poppy pin with a red four leaved Poppy on top of a background of St. Andrews Cross.
Anyone who wants some please contact the Secretary. They are £2.50p each including + P & P. (Or £1.50p each if you send a strong stamped addressed envelope.)
